We’re so glad you’re part of our singing community.
Below you’ll find our 2026 Studio Policy and Terms, which outline how lessons run and what to expect throughout the year.
These help keep things consistent and fair for everyone, so lessons can stay focused on music, learning and growth.

1. Lesson commitment

• Lessons are booked by the term, and your weekly time is reserved exclusively for you.

• Enrolment continues automatically each term unless notice is given at the end of a term.

• Regular attendance supports steady progress and confidence through consistency.

2. Payments and fees

• All students are enrolled in weekly Autopay through My Music Staff.

• Billing day: Sunday, beginning at the end of your first week of lessons.

• Solo lessons: $38.50 per week

• Duo lessons: $28.50 per student per week

• A term-upfront option is available on request and processed as a single Autopay charge on the first Sunday of term.

• A 2% processing fee applies to cover transaction costs.

• Lessons are charged for the full term. If lessons are discontinued mid-term, the remaining term balance will still be charged.

• If three consecutive lessons are missed without any notice or communication, it will be assumed the student is withdrawing, and the remainder of the term will be processed automatically.

• Fees must be up to date before the next term begins. Lessons may pause if payment is overdue.

• Credit card details and agreement confirmation must be completed before the first lesson.

3. Attendance and missed lessons

Your weekly lesson time is reserved for you, and the commitment is to a full term of lessons.

• Each student has one absence per term that will not be charged with at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Absences can be recorded through the Student Portal. With 24 hours’ notice, the lesson will automatically be adjusted to no fee (once per term).

• All other missed lessons are charged, as the lesson time and teacher remain reserved.

• Student credits do not carry over into the next term.

• Teacher absences are not charged; if a replacement teacher is arranged and you choose not to attend, the lesson fee is still charged.

• Longer absences due to holidays or illness remain payable to hold your spot. A make-up lesson may be offered at Geelong Singing’s discretion if available.

• Zoom lessons are available on request with at least 24 hours’ notice.

4. Cancellations and withdrawals

• To withdraw from lessons, notice must be given at the end of a term.

• If lessons are discontinued mid-term, the remaining balance for that term will still be charged through Autopay.

• Lesson times cannot be guaranteed once a student withdraws.

• In cases of extended illness or exceptional circumstances, please contact Liz to discuss options.

5. Public holidays and studio breaks

• Lessons are not held on public holidays, unless otherwise arranged.

• The studio does operate on Geelong Cup Day and Melbourne Cup Day.

• The studio follows a four-term schedule, generally aligned with the Victorian school calendar.

• Term dates and any planned breaks will be communicated in advance.

6. Teacher absences

• If a teacher is unavailable, another Geelong Singing teacher may take the lesson.

• If a replacement cannot be arranged, the lesson will not be charged.

• If a replacement is arranged and you choose not to attend, the lesson fee is still charged.

7. Communication

• Communication is primarily via email: geelongsinging@gmail.com.

• For urgent matters, you can contact Liz directly on 0415 977 860.

• Studio updates, concert information and scheduling details are shared through email or the student portal.

• Please check regularly to stay up to date.

8. Health and safety

• Students who are unwell should not attend lessons in person.
  Zoom lessons may be arranged if suitable.

• The outdoor area, trampoline and playground may be used before or after lessons under parent or guardian supervision.

• Food and drink (other than water) are not permitted in the studio to protect students with allergies.

9. Photos and recordings

Photos or short videos may be taken during lessons or concerts for educational or promotional purposes.
These may be shared online through Geelong Singing’s website or social media.
If you prefer not to have your child included, please advise in writing when confirming enrolment.

10. Late or unpaid fees

• Payments are processed automatically through Autopay.

• It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure fees remain current and payment methods are valid.

• If a payment fails and remains outstanding, lessons may be paused until the balance is cleared.

• Geelong Singing reserves the right to refer unpaid balances to a debt collection service where necessary.

11. Agreement

By enrolling at Geelong Singing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these policies and agree to follow them while enrolled.
Upon enrolment, all students will be asked to confirm agreement to these policies, which are also accessible on the Geelong Singing website.
