Our Teachers will help students through their music education journey, whether it be to learn the basics in vocal production, exam and further music studies, auditions and more.
As with any musician, performance is a huge part of being a singer. Students will get many oportunities to perform in front of a live audience as well as training for any auditions and special events.
A basic understanding of Music Theory is important for all musicians and singers are no exception. With extensive training in theory students can feel confident in learning the fundamentals of music theory as well as the specific requirements for singing exams and VCE music.
Liz has an Associate Diploma in Singing and has been involved in the music industry for over 15 years.
Liz is very familiar with the ANZCA, AMEB and VCE Singing and Theory syllabi having completed many Singing and Theory exams herself. Liz has enjoyed teaching singing and running choirs at local primary and secondary schools and over the last 17 years has developed a singing program that encourages students of all ages, from toddlers to adults, to learn the joy of singing and music.
Her many career highlights include working as a vocal director for various local theatre comapanies. These include: 'Legally Blonde - The Musical', Geelong Lyric Theatre Society, 'Eurobeat: Almost Eurovision' in 2011 with GSODA, Oliver - CentreStage 2017, Sound Of Music - CentreStage 2019 and looks forward to working on The little Mermaid with Medimime Productions as Vocal Director in 2022. Liz has been extensively involved in local theatre with performances in 'Joseph and his Technicolor Dream Coat', 'Hair' and 'Grease' being some of her highlights.
Liz has also performed as part of very successful duos, trios and full bands over the last decade, fronting the groups at weddings, corporate functions and other events. Liz is also passionate about early music education and has spent the last 10 years teaching and developing an original program which she implements in preschool settings.
Whilst managing her career, Liz is also raising her four gorgeous girls Sophie, Chloe, Juliet and Charlotte.

Performing arts have always played a prominent role in Jorja’s life.
Beginning with dance lessons, her love of the arts began at an early age. As she grew, she developed her skills as a dancer, actor and singer to become a triple threat.
At just 17, Jorja was accepted on a full scholarship, into ‘Patrick Studios Australia’ where she followed her passion to complete high school and study at the Melbourne Academy. She then went onto study and complete an Advanced Diploma of Music, majoring in performance and composition.
Jorja brings with her a wealth of performance experience, with some of the highlights including the ‘Think Pink Ball’ (Crown Casino) and the ‘Dance Cancer Initiative (DCI)’ (Broadcast on Foxtel).
Along with being an experienced performer across many formats, Jorja is also an accomplished songwriter and recording artist, releasing her debut EP, ‘JORJA’, at the end of 2016. She is a powerhouse vocalist with a positive message to share which comes through in her songs and performances.
Jorja is a dynamic and vibrant member of our team at Geelong Singing, and can’t wait to start working with some amazing talent.
